Welcome to the Cape Town Draft, a unique annual event taking place in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa.

Our mission is clear: to discover, celebrate, and promote young football talent in South Africa and across Southern Africa. For the first time, DRAFTEE will welcome young players (born between 2010 and 2005) from various academies, as well as European scouts, to Cape Town.

For decades, players from Southern Africa have flown the continent's flag in Europe:

In South Africa, Benni McCarthy won the Champions League with Porto, Steven Pienaar shone at Everton, and Percy Tau made the jump from the English Premier League to conquer Africa with Al Ahly.

In Namibia, Collin Benjamin made his mark in the Bundesliga with Hamburg SV.

In Gambia, Ebrima Darboe emerged at AS Roma, and Omar Colley dominates European defenses.

In Mozambique, Simão Mate Junior distinguished himself at Panathinaikos and the Spanish La Liga.
